Explore the northern reaches of Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, close to Exmouth town. Paddle the sheltered waters of the Bundegi Sanctuary zone and snorkel from your sit-on-top kayak. Our half day Turtle Tour takes advantage of the tides to explore this wildlife rich area, part of the area known as Ningaloo’s wildlife nursery, Exmouth Gulf. This tour is family-friendly and a whole lot of fun!

Join Exmouth Adventure Co. for a half day sea kayak and snorkel Turtle Tour adventure in the wildlife-rich Bundegi Sanctuary Zone, in amazing Exmouth Gulf, amongst the northern stretches of World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef. On their Turtle Tour, look for turtles in the shallows from your kayak – rays, baby reef sharks and birds including Osprey are also commonly seen. Take the opportunity to snorkel from your kayak amongst the sheltered coral gardens and enjoy the colourful fish life.

  • Spot turtles, rays, schools of fish and more from your double sit-on-top sea kayak in the sheltered, shallow waters.
  • Snorkel amongst the coral gardens and colourful reef fish from the 'Kayak Only' moorings in the sheltered waters of the Bundegi Sanctuary Zone. Snorkelling from your kayak is an experience you won't soon forget, and easier than you think (don't worry, we'll show you how!)
  • Small group tours with a maximum of 8 guests

Duration: 3.5 hours approx.

Tour start time changes daily depending on the tide. Some days may not be available due to unsuitable tides. Tour departures are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers.

What you need to bring

Please bring the things that you would normally take on a trip to the beach: come dressed with your bathers under your clothes, and some board shorts/quick dry shorts or leggings (something that you don't mind getting wet!). You will also need a bottle of water to drink (in summer at least 1 litre), towel, sunscreen, and sunglasses. If you have a Go Pro or underwater camera you are more than welcome to bring that along.
We can provide dry bags if you would like to bring your phone or camera that isn't waterproof, however cannot be held liable for any loss or water damage.

What’s included?

Your safety and enjoyment whilst participating in a tour are a top priority at Exmouth Adventure Co. They provide the following good quality, clean equipment for our customers to use on this tour:

  • Double sit-on-top sea kayaks
  • PFDs (lifejackets)
  • Snorkelling gear – snorkel, mask, fins, wetsuit in the cooler months (you are welcome to bring your own gear if you have it)
  • Long-sleeve sun shirts and broad brim hats
  • Dry bags for valuables
  • Morning tea and lunch (specific dietary requirements can be catered for, please advise on booking)
  • National Park entry fee
  • Pick up and drop off from your Exmouth town accommodation
    (If you are staying at one of the campsites in Cape Range national park, you will need to drive to the car park across the road from the entry to the Harold E. Holt Naval Base, near the black model submarine to meet the crew)
  • Qualified and experienced local guide
  • Complimentary tour photos taken by your guide.

How do I know if a tour is confirmed?

When we receive your tour booking through our website, we take a pre-authorisation for the cost of the tour on your credit card and liaise with with the operator to book your tour. As soon as we get their confirmation, we process the payment via credit card and will email you all the details and a booking confirmation number.

What happens in case the operator is booked out or the date is unavailable?

We will liaise with the operator and try to source a suitable alternative. You are free to accept or decline!
In the rare case we can’t find any available spots or if you don’t like the alternative offered, we will cancel the pre-authorisation on your card. No payment will be taken in this case!

72 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your tour within 72 hours of tour departure, the full amount of the tour will be charged, no refunds are given.
