The Glamping Experience
How does the Glamping (Set-up) service work?
This is our most popular and stress-free option! We handle everything. Our team will deliver your chosen caravan to your campsite, set it up completely, and pack it down when you leave. This service is available within a 250km radius of Exmouth. You simply arrive, relax, and unplug—no towing required.
Once you select your caravan dates on the booking form, you will see the option to add the Glamping Package and select your location. The fee for this is calculated based on the kilometres we have to travel to deliver your caravan.
Do I need to book my own campsite?
What are the caravan dimensions for campsite bookings?
When booking your campsite, please ensure your site can accommodate the specific van you have chosen. Here are the travel lengths (hitch to rear bumper) for our fleet:
- Avan Aspire 555: 6.9m (approx. 23ft)
- Golf Savannah Maxxi: 7.05m (approx. 23ft)
- Golf Tourer 577: 8.15m (approx. 27ft)
Tip: If you haven’t confirmed your exact van model yet, we recommend booking a site that fits a 27ft van to be safe.
What are the Check-in and Check-out times?
- Check-out: Strictly by 9:00 AM. (Most campsites require the site to be fully vacated by 10:00 AM, so this ensures our team has enough time to pack down the equipment).
- Check-in: From 2:00 PM.
- Arrival Options: You can request a personal handover (available until 5:00 PM) or opt for a contactless self-check-in. For self-check-ins, we will email you all the necessary access details the day before you arrive.
Are there showers and toilets in Cape Range National Park?
While the National Park only provides basic drop toilets and no showers, you won’t have to rough it! All our caravans feature a private ensuite with an inbuilt hot shower and toilet. This allows you to enjoy the remote beauty of remote camping with total privacy and comfort.
Please note: While we set everything else up for you, guests are responsible for monitoring their water levels and emptying the toilet cassette at designated dump points during their stay.
Can we camp right on the beach?
In Cape Range National Park, campsites are set back 50–100 meters from the beach (often behind dunes) for conservation reasons. If you are dreaming of camping directly on the sand, we recommend booking a site at 14 Mile Beach (ex. Warroora Station).
Are bedding, linen, and towels provided?
Yes. For all glamping packages, we include bedding, linen, and towels for all guests on the booking.
What pantry staples and cleaning supplies are included?
We get you started with all the essentials! You will find salt, pepper, sugar, flour, pasta, rice, oats, cooking oil, and even Weet-Bix in the pantry. We also supply dishwashing liquid and hand soap.
How big are fridge and freezer?
Our caravans feature a large 174L compressor fridge/freezer. This includes a dedicated 35L freezer section, leaving generous space in the main compartment for all your family’s food and drinks.
Please remember: No bait or fish is to be stored in the fridge or freezer!
Will the Air Conditioner and Microwave work off-grid?
No. The Air Conditioner, Microwave, and 240V power points only work when the caravan is plugged into mains power at a powered campsite.
- Off-Grid: If you are camping off-grid, the lights, fridge, water pump, and USB chargers run off the solar battery system. We also provide Sirocco fans for cooling.
- Hair Dryers & capsule coffee machines: Please note that high-draw appliances like hair dryers, straighteners, and toasters cannot be used off-grid.
- CPAP Machines: Yes, our vans have 12V outlets or inverters suitable for CPAP machines (please check with us regarding your specific model).
Booking, Deposits & Bonds
How do I check availability and pricing?
Rates vary based on the season and length of stay. You can check live availability and instant pricing via the search bar on our website.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Yes. Our standard minimum rental is 3–5 nights, depending on the season and the specific caravan.
- School Holidays: 5-night minimum.
- Peak Season: 4-night minimum.
- Off-Peak: 3-night minimum.
- Short Stays: You are welcome to book for a shorter trip (e.g., 2 nights), but the minimum charge for the 3–5 night period will still apply to cover our labour, set-up, and administration costs.
What is the Booking Deposit?
Is there a Security Bond?
Yes, a pre-authorization bond is required for all rentals to cover potential damages or cleaning fees.
- Glamping (Set-Up) Hires: $3,000 bond.
- Self-Tow Hires: $10,000 bond.
Note: We highly encourage the Glamping option for peace of mind!
Are there age restrictions for hiring?
Yes, the requirements differ depending on the service you choose:
- Glamping (Set-Up): The primary hirer must be 18 years or older.
- Self-Tow: The driver must be 25 years or older and must have held a full driver’s license for at least 2 years.
Can we bring our pets?
We love animals, but strictly no pets are allowed in our caravans or annexes.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Because Ningaloo Reef is a remote destination where travelers plan months in advance, last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill. Therefore, we have a strict policy in place.
Notification: All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable) and take effect from the day we receive them.
Refund Tiers:
- 14+ Full Days Notice: If you cancel 14 full days (or more) prior to the booking start date, you will receive a 50% refund of the total rental fees.
- 7 – 13 Full Days Notice: If you cancel between 7 and 13 days prior, you will receive a 25% refund of the total rental fees.
- Less than 7 Days: If you cancel less than 7 full days in advance, no rental fees will be refunded.
Additional Conditions:
- Cleaning Fees: These will always be refunded in full if the booking has not commenced.
- Early Returns: No fees are refunded if you decide to return the caravan early.
- Company Cancellations: If we must cancel your hire due to reasons outside our control (e.g., severe weather events like cyclones, or damage from a previous hire), you will receive a full refund of all fees paid to us.
- Please note: Our liability is limited to the rental fees paid; we cannot cover third-party costs such as flights, transfers, or accommodation.
Self-Tow Requirements
Can I self-tow the caravan instead of Glamping?
Yes, self-towing is possible, but strict conditions apply. Because our caravans are premium vehicles, we require a $10,000 Security Bond for all self-tow hires.
To qualify for self-tow, you must meet the following criteria:
- Vehicle Ownership: You must tow with your own private vehicle. Hire cars are strictly not permitted to tow our caravans.
- Towing Capacity: Your vehicle must be legally capable of towing the specific weight of the chosen caravan.
- Experience: You must have (and be able to document) appropriate towing experience with large caravans.
- Itinerary Disclosure: You must fully disclose your proposed travel itinerary (where you intend to take the van) for approval prior to booking.
Are there restrictions on where I can drive?
Yes. To protect the vehicles, you strictly cannot drive:
- Off-road, on beaches or salt-water exposed areas.
- Through water crossings (salt or fresh) deeper than the wheel bearing caps.
- On narrow, overgrown tracks that may scratch the panels.
Damage incurred in restricted areas is the full responsibility of the hirer.
Do I need an electric brake controller?
If you are self-towing, yes. You legally need an electric brake controller. If your car is not equipped with one, we have portable controllers available for hire ($65).
